Alma 34 - Continued

28 - If you have done these things but neglect the poor you are nothing.
29 - If God blesses you and you don't give back you aren't a good investment.
30 - Seeing that the scriptures and these testimonies testify, come forward and repent.
31 - Harden not your hearts and come forward and repent.
32 - Now is the time to prepare to meet God.
33 - Do not procrastinate the day of your repentance.

17 - May God's grace give you faith unto repentance, and eventual mercy when you call on his name.
18 - Cry unto God for mercy; for he is might to save!
19 - Humble yourselves and continue in prayer unto him.
20 - Cry unto him while you are working, over your business.
21 - Cry unto him at home, over your family, all day long.
22 - Cry unto him against the power of your enemies.
23 - Cry unto him against the devil, who is the true enemy of righteousness.
24 - Cry unto him over your income, that ye may prosper.
25 - Cry that your crops may increase.
26 - You must pour out your whole soul unto God in your dark places.
27 - When you're not pouring your soul unto the Lord, pray to him in your mind.

Alma 34 - Continued

11 - No man can atone for another.
12 - Only infinite atonement can overcome the world.
13 - Law of Moses overcome, no more animal sacrifices.
14 - Son of God will be great and last sacrifice.
15- atonement brings about faith unto repentance.
16- Mercy can satifsy justice, or it can expose us to the whole law depending on whether we repent.

Alma 34 - Continued

5 - We've perceived that the question you're thinking about is whether there be a Christ or whether there will be no Christ.
6 - I also see Alma has proved to you there is a Christ.
7 - Alma cited 3 prophets to prove that Christ is the savior.
8 - I testify that he's right. I testify that Christ will take upon him the sins of his people.
9 - An atonement is necessary, otherwise all mankind will be lost. Men are hardened, fallen, lost, and must perish except they have an atonement.
10 - There must be a great sacrifice made, it must be an infinite and eternal sacrifice.

1 - After Alma's words, Amulek began teaching.
2 - Amulek says that salvation is in Christ, and they aren't ignorant of who Christ is.
3 - Your desire was to know what to do, and Alma taught you well to have faith and patience.
4 - To have so much faith as to plant a seed in your hearts to try the experiment.

40 - If you don't look forward with faith, you can never taste of the fruits of faith.
41 - If you nourish the tree with great faith and diligence it will spring up unto everlasting life.
42 - When you receive the nourishment from the fruit, you won't hunger or thirst anymore.
43 - You'll reap your reward.

Alma 32 - Continued

34 - Is knowledge perfect afterwards? Yes you know because of what the word has done in your soul.
35 - Is this real? Yes, because it's light and light is good. Once you've tasted is knowledge perfect?
36 - No, you still need faith, because you've only begun by planting the seed to try out the experiment.
37 - If you nourish the seed/tree it will take root and grow up and bring fruit.
38 - If tree is neglected it won't get root, and the trials of life will kill it.
39 - This isn't because the seed wasn't good, it's because the seed wasn't taken care of. It's because your ground is "barren"

28 - Word like a seed, if you prepare soil, plant the seed, if you don't throw it out, resisting the spirit, it will swell inside you, and when you feel that, you will say this must be a good seed, or the word is good, because it enlargens my soul, it's beginning to make things clearer for me, it's delicious.
29 - Wouldn't this increase your faith? Yes, but it's not a perfect knowledge.
30 - When you see it sprout within you, won't it make your faith stronger, and won't it assure you that it's a good seed?
31 - Seeds bring forth after their own likeness.
32 - If a seed groweth it is good, if not, it's not good, so it's tossed out.
33 - The fact that you see it growing means it's good.

21 - Hope in things that are not seen, which are true. Faith doesn't mean knowledge, it just leads to it.
22 - God desires all to believe on his Son.
23 - Angels can witness truth to men, women, children. They can speak miraculous things.
24 - Desire to know.
25 - I'm not saying your humble because you're poor.
26 - Word of God needs to be put to trial, try it out, see if it works.
27 - Experiment the things Alma teaches you and have a desire to believe, and let that desire work in you to give place to the word.

13- Humility can lead to repentance, repentance brings mercy, mercy and enduring to the end brings eternal life.
14 - Humbling yourself because of the word is best.
15 - He who humbles himself is more blessed than he who is compelled to be humble.
16 - Blessed is he that is humble and is baptized, and isn't stubborn.
17 - Many look for signs before believing.
18 - Cursed is the man that knows God's will, and doeth it not.
19 - He that knows God's will and doesn't do it is more cursed than he that believes and falls into transgression.

Day 1 - Alma's seeds of faith - Alma 32

Versus 1-2 - Preaching the word of God to the poor brought success.
Verse 3 - Poor in heart, open to the word.
Verses 4-5 - Poor came to Alma in great multitude, and asked what they should do because they were cast out of their synagogues, and were despised of men.
Verse 6 - Alma recognizes the significance of the opportunity.
Verses 7-12 - Alma explains the significance of being humble and asks appropriate questions to get the crowd thinking about their form of worship. Most significant, Do ye suppose you can worship God in your synagogues only?
